4×2 Quads: Ramírez wins before his people

Beto Ramírez (Yamaha Raptor) got a convincing victory in 4×2 Quads category in Desafío Guaraní – Dakar Series 2015 and allowed himself the chance to celebrate with his own people.  The local rider dominated after Nelson Sanabria retired and was more than three hours faster than Gastón Pando (Yamaha Raptor), while Marcelo Fernández (Yamaha Raptor) completed the podium.

The local rider got a well-deserved victory in the second Dakar Series this year upon winning Desafío Guaraní.  After Sanabria retired in the second stage due to a serious accident, Ramírez took the lead of the race and did not step aside from the first place at any time.

Ramírez, who this morning got his second stage victory, completed the five stages with a time of 23:05.03 and was over three hours faster than Gastón Pando, while Marcelo Fernández got on the last step of the podium.

The fourth place was for Carlos Verza (Yamaha Raptor) who in the last kilometers snatched the place from Marcelo Schmidt (Yamaha Raptor).  However, the rider from Santa Fe (Arg), Schmidt, has a reason to celebrate as he won 50% of the Entry Fee for Dakar 2016 that is the prize given by Dakar Challenge.
